Party at the Beach

Happy happy Sunday!
This weekend has been a veeery hot one, with 30something ºC every single day. Therefore, this weekend was also a very casual one. I did't get to do much, but stay inside, away from the heat and only go out in the evenings, when the cool breeze of the river would make its appearance. There was, though an event on Saturday that saved the day- a party on the "beach" (an artificial beach actually :D ). Even though I didn't get there early enough for the little concert that was on, I did however make it just in time for the bonfire. All of us gathered around the fire, trying to make ourselves as cozy as posible. Folk music, quitars playing, people singing together the songs- it was such a beautiful image.
So here is what I wore:
*btw... took a walk in the park before we actually headed down to the beach and so that's where the photos were taken*

As the party was on the beach, I wore a striped full body swimsuit from Pull&Bear, white shorts from Kiabi Kids (yeah, that's right, I wear children clothes!), and sandals from Benvenuti. I don't remember where the scarf is from because I have it from a long time ago, but the rest of the accessories are thrifted.

Nope, I lied. Actually the earrings are not thrifted, they're from H&M, but you can find this style  pretty much everywhere.

I kept the make up minimal- a bit of mascara, blush and a pinky nude lipstick to seal the deal. :)

That's all for this week. I hope you had a lovely Saturday and Sunday, and I'll talk to you tomorrow!

Favourite clothing stores

Hello, again!
Ok, so the other day I was on Yahoo!Answers, searching some fashion questions to answer to. As I was scrolling down the page, I came across someone asking which were our favourite clothing shops.
Fastforward today... And I am now writing a blog post on it. Thanks, annonymus person!

Whenever I go to the mall, I enter almost any shop in my sight, but there are a few which make me excited everytime I'm about to walking in.

1. ZARA
One reason I reaaally like Zara is for their design on clothes. They're so classy and sophisticated.
Another reason I like them is for the quality of clothes. I mean sure, they're more expensive than other brands, but if you want something that will last...forever? then I think Zara does a great job in that department.
And the last reason I can think of is that they take themselves seriously. Meaning? If there's a sale, then there's a sale. I don't know what's like in your country, but over here it is quite rare you find really good deals on sales.
And speaking of sales... Here are some bargains I found:

DOUBLE-BREASTED SHORT COAT                        FABRIC BLAZER                             SLEEVELESS A-LINE DRESS              BLOUSE WITH FRILLED SLEEVE AND NECKLACE
              59.99 USD - 149.00 USD                            29.99 USD - 79.90 USD                           29.99 USD - 79.90 USD                            22.99 USD - 49.90 USD

2. H&M
When the first H&M shop opened in my city I was in heaven!
What's great about it is that they have something for everyone- teens, children, women, men. They got ya' covered! Oh, and they have a department for home as well, but I'm sure you already knew that.
Another thing I like about H&M? They have really good basics, for really good prices.
And last but definitely not least...they have tons of accessories (love their bags)!
And now lemme show you a little bit what I'm talking about...

KNIT SWEATER                                 PENCIL SKIRT                                      HANDBAG                                      LOAFERS
                 24.95 USD                                    12.95 USD                                         24.95 USD                                     14.95 USD

3. New Look
There are mainly two reasons why I like New Look. First, I loooove their stuff; they have such unique pieces and everytime I walk in their store I am amazed at how beautiful some of the thing are.
Second, they have student discounts! How awesome is that?
And oh, yeah... they have sales right now for up to 70% :)

CREAM CHECK DOLLY COAT                   ORANGE ZIP POCKET WRAP SKORT                BLUE CREPE FLORALPRINT DRESS                 QUILTED BACKPACK SATCHEL
               44.45 USD - 88.88 USD                           10.90 USD - 27.25 USD                           21.32 USD - 35.54 USD                             21.32 USD - 35.54 USD

NOTE:  * Because the prices for New Look are either in £ or , I used a convertor to write the prices in USD.
                 * I was not paid to write this, all opinions are my own :)

So which are your favourite shops?

Top 4: How to Style Army Green Pants

Hello, lovelies!

A few days ago I bought another item for my wardrobe: army green pants. And as I was searching on Pinterest for some ways I could style them, I realised the lack of color in pretty much every outfit I saw.
Of course I just could not let it go (it's not in my nature), so I put together a few outfits for eveyone else who wants some color back into their lives (or their outfit).

 Which one's your favourite?

Autumn Obsession

Hello, lovely people!
Now that we're well set into autumn, I'm really starting to love the dark and warm hues that brings with it. Especially in fashion.I usually like a modern take on fashion, with simple and crisp lines, basic colors -black&white, red-very businessy I suppose. But this time around I'm all about warm and earthy tones, and more of a laid back kind of style. You'll see what I mean in the following photos.
In case you're wondering, I used Polyvore for these collages, which is a site I recently started reusing it and it's definitely growing on me (P.S. Not sponsored).

OOTD: An Interview

Hello!
So just some time ago I went to an interview. It wasn't for a job, but for a course I really wanted to take.
It is one of the most important things I have done in my life and I'm really glad I was chosen as one of the trainees. I had received in the mail a document with the dress code and I had seen in photos of previous interviews that all the girls were #1: a bit older than I am; and #2: dressed quite dull.
They all looked like they had a uniform on, with a black/navy skirt and white shirt.
I'm only 19 so I really didn't think it was appropriate for me to dress like that. I wanted colors and prints. So while my goal was to stand out from the rest, I also made sure I stuck to the given rules.

This is where the interview took place:

Here's my look:
